Park City Review

Went to Park City in late Jan / early Feb, 2026, my first time skiing in Utah. Overall a very solid mountain.

Snow coverage was really bad, according to the locals it’s like the worst in 20 years. So many parts of the mountain weren’t open.

Here’s my review for this ski resort in different aspects.

Solo Traveling in Switzerland

Ever since taking a solo academic trip in Scotland, I’d been longing for another solo travel. Fortunately, as I got into the 4-month military training only a few weeks after I graduated, I still got enough time to go traveling before full time job starting in January 2024.

I fell in love with skiing at the start of the year in Japan, and it was approaching winter when I got out of the military, so naturally I picked Switzerland as my destination, with the focus being skiing.

A Beginner's Guide to Skiing

If you’re very athletic and can generally pick up new sports quickly, you can probably ease through blue i.e. intermediate trials on your 2nd day with a personal coach. If you’re in a group teaching session or only being taught by a friend, then it may take a bit longer as there may be bottlenecks in groups, while your friends may not know how to teach.
